Montessori Programs
Montessori Academy of Slidell is an accredited Montessori school serving children from age 3 through elementary levels. Our academic programs are grounded in authentic Montessori philosophy and implemented with fidelity by trained Montessori educators.
Montessori Academy of Slidell offers the following academic-year Montessori programs, operating from August through May:
Primary Program (Ages 3–6)
Preschool (PK3/PK4) and Kindergarten
The Montessori Primary Program serves children ages 3–6 in a mixed-age classroom designed to support independence, concentration, and foundational academic development. Children engage daily in hands-on learning across Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural Studies within uninterrupted work cycles.
Our Kindergarten year represents the culminating year of the Primary cycle and is a fully accredited Montessori Kindergarten program, aligned with Louisiana academic standards while remaining developmentally appropriate and child centered.
Elementary Homeschool Program (Grades 1–6)
Our Montessori Elementary Homeschool Program serves students in 1st through 6th grades and is designed for families seeking a structured, academically rigorous Montessori experience within a homeschool model.
This program is rooted in Montessori Cosmic Education and emphasizes:
Integrated studies in history, geography, science, and culture
Project-based learning and critical thinking
Responsibility, collaboration, and independent work habits
Guidance from trained Montessori educators
This program supports both academic growth and a strong sense of community for homeschooling families.
