Choosing the right school is an important decision. Our admissions process is intentionally designed to help families understand Montessori education, observe our classrooms, and determine whether Montessori Academy of Slidell is the right fit for their child and family.

Montessori Academy of Slidell offers a child-centered educational experience grounded in the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. Our programs emphasize independence, concentration, academic excellence, and respect for the child. We encourage families to explore our philosophy, programs, and school culture before beginning the admissions process to ensure alignment in educational values and expectations.
Experience Montessori in Action
A school tour is the most meaningful way to understand Montessori education. During your visit, you will observe our prepared environments, see children engaged in purposeful work, and learn how Montessori principles are applied in daily classroom practice. Tours are conducted by appointment and provide time for questions and conversation.
Determine Program Availability & Fit
Montessori classrooms are carefully balanced environments. Placement is based on age, developmental readiness, and classroom composition rather than first-come availability alone. After your tour, our admissions team will discuss program availability, classroom placement, schedule options, and enrollment timelines.

Enrollment Considerations
To preserve the integrity of our Montessori environments, Montessori Academy of Slidell considers the following during admissions:
Child’s age and developmental readiness
Classroom balance and continuity
Family alignment with Montessori philosophy
Program availability
Open Enrollment & Waitlist
Prospective families are welcome to schedule a tour and submit an application with the $40 application fee. Current families receive priority during a designated re-enrollment period. New applicants may be offered available spaces following admissions review, while spaces held for returning students remain reserved through the priority deadline.
If a space is unavailable in your child’s program, your family may be placed on a waitlist and contacted as openings arise. Submitting an application or joining the waitlist does not guarantee admission or reserve a space. A space is reserved only after an enrollment offer, a completed enrollment agreement, and receipt of the required registration payment. We are committed to transparency and clear communication throughout the admissions process.
